I've spent the last decade working for myself, employers and clients to solve problems using computers. As well as building software for banks, supermarkets and the public sector, I've also used technology to simplify processes and make life easier where I can. I'm passionate about building things that are delightful to use and that make sense to users. Whether as a consultant or on my own side projects, I believe in quality and simplicity in the software building journey. Anyone can code and everyone should try it. Since graduating in 2010, I've worked across a range of industries, primarily in the roles of technologist, software architect and software engineer. Currently I'm the CTO at Ctrl Alt, a FinTech platform for alternative assets. Previously I was the CTO at Strikepay - a cashless tipping and payment platform. In the final year of my Masters degree I wrote a dissertation on how the UK can use Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) to lower it's carbon dioxide emissions and meet it's environmental targets. This was adapted into a paper that was published by Elsevier's Energy Conversion and Management journal.
